Busto Arsizio is an Italian town located in province of Varese, north-western Lombardy. Currently Busto Arsizio with 80.000 residents is the most populous town in the province. Its economy is mainly based on industry and commerce. There is evidence of housing in the town in Roman time and in early Middle Age. From the 13th century the town became renowned for its production of textile. By the half of 19th century modern industry began to take over strongly and Busto Arsizio became one of the richest town in northern Italy. Today the main activities in the town are primarily based on services sector due to the proximity of Malpensa international airport. The most important buildings of the town are the Churches.
