The M&M Apartment property is located in the small village of Lazzaretto, 3.5 km from the center of Muggia, Province of Trieste, Italy, surrounded by the Adriatic Sea. The accommodations are set in a historic villa from 1890, surrounded by an olive grove, immersed in nature, away from the urban center. Our offer includes private parking on a fenced and secure property of 8.000 m². All units are air-conditioned. We are only 50 meters from the sea, just above the sunken ancient Roman pier. The beach has a varied terrain, sandy and rocky. Family Room is located on the second floor (no elevator). It consists of a room with high ceilings featuring a large double bed (180x200 cm) and a beautiful sea view. From this room, there is access to the rest of the attic space, where there is a small room with a single auxiliary bed (190x90 cm, suitable for a maximum weight of 90–100 kg), and a small kitchenette. The ceiling has Velux windows with blackout curtains. From this attic room, there is access to a compact attic bathroom with a seated shower. Panorama Room is located on the first floor (no elevator). It consists of a room with a sea view and a bed measuring 160x200 cm. From the room, there is access to a spacious bathroom with a combined shower and hydro-massage bathtub. The bathroom opens onto a sea-facing terrace equipped with a table, chairs, and an awning for sun protection. On the terrace, there is also a small outdoor kitchenette. Apartment Room is semi-basement and does not offer a sea view. However, it has its own dedicated section of the courtyard in front of the house with an open view toward the sea, where there is an additional outdoor table with chairs, sun loungers, and a sunshade. The Apartment Room features a living room with a small kitchenette and, if needed, a sofa bed with a mattress topper. From the living room, there is access to a small bedroom with a 140x200 cm bed. Through this bedroom is access to bathroom with a shower and washing machine.

A border crossing, known as San Bartolomeo, with Slovenia and the extreme east of the comune di Muggia at Lazaretto is far 800m. The Slovenian border crossing is called Lazaret in the Municipality of Koper. The closest airport is Trieste – Friuli Venezia Giulia Airport. It is 61.3km from the hotel and is approximately a 49-minute journey by taxi. It’s 20 minutes from the city of Trieste by car. Explore Muggia Vecchia (Old Muggia) the most ancient part of the town built as a hill fort in the Iron Age. Try Local Wine & Olive Oil. Friuli Venezia Giulia is home to the indigenous vines of Malvasia and the Refosco which produce white and red wines respectively. The region is also home to unique olive trees from Roman times. See Muggia Castle. Enjoy the Piazza in front of the Duomo and the mandracchio. Inside the bay of San Bartolomeo in front of the M&M Apartment, you can still recognize the traces of a Roman pier built by superimposing large blocks of sandstone, submerged by the rising sea level. It is a small docking facility located in Lazzaretto, currently 40-50 m from the coast. You can take advantage of cycling and hiking opportunities.
