The apartment, renovated in 2023, is located in the historic centre of Siena, inside Porta Camollia, along the Via Francigena, within walking distance of Il Campo (900 m) and the Train Station – "Antiporto" – "Porta Camollia" Escalator (400 m). It has an independent ground-floor entrance from ‘vicolo della Magione’, in the heart of the Contrada dell'Istrice.

My name is Giovanni Forconi, and I work in Public Engagement and #Usienasport at the University of Siena. I love walking in nature with my dogs Pordoi and Ada, I practice sports reluctantly like tennis, padel, and skiing (while I stopped playing football and basketball), but I prefer enjoying social moments around a well-set table. I am married to Marta, an architect, and together we have two daughters: Vittoria, a Ph.D. student in life sciences, and Virginia, an architecture student. We decided to make our apartment, Magione 10, available to offer our guests a unique experience in an area we know and love deeply. We enjoy welcoming people who appreciate the beauty of Siena and our family-oriented hospitality. We are not an agency, but a family that only has this one apartment, located just a few steps from our home. The Church of San Pietro alla Magione, dating back to the 10th century, is right next to the apartment, adding a rich historical touch. It’s also very close to the beautiful park of La Lizza and the imposing Fortezza Medicea, providing plenty of green spaces and scenic views. The neighborhood comes alive especially during the Palio, thanks to its central location between the Contrada dell'Istrice’s historic headquarters, the museum, the church, the stable, and the club. It’s an exhilarating experience that’s impossible to fully describe — it’s something you truly need to experience for yourself!
