Surrounded by centuries-old olive trees and vast expanses of vineyards, the historic Masseria Piutri features a 16th-century central tower and sections of ancient Roman walls, all set within 14 hectares of land. Enclosed by traditional dry-stone walls, typical of the Salento region's rural culture and landscape, it enjoys a privileged location just 2 km from the Adriatic Sea and 4 km from the renowned archaeological site of Valesio. Its location offers a captivating view: the warm hues of olive groves are interspersed with the vibrant colours of vineyards, fig trees, cherry trees, and almond trees. Using organic farming methods, we produce olive oil, vegetables, fruit, honey, medicinal herbs, and raise small farm animals. Guests can enjoy the farm’s genuine organic products, herb liqueurs, carefully prepared preserves, and delicious homemade tarts. The building has retained its ancient charm: the apartments, furnished with period furniture, have been renovated with respect for the distinctive Salento masseria style, with large fireplaces and vaulted star-shaped ceilings. Particularly striking is the presence of the 16th-century central tower.
