We are a Sardinian family with roots in both the Sinis Peninsula and Ogliastra: I was born in Cabras, while my husband comes from Lanusei. The property is located on Via Tharros, one of Cabras' historic streets, just a few minutes from the "Cabras Lagoon, the largest lagoon in Europe, where the renowned "BOTTARGA", often known as the "gold of Cabras," is still produced today. Within a short distance, you can visit the "Giovanni Marongiu Civic Museum", home to the famous "Giants of Mont'e Prama, the picturesque village of "San Salvatore", the ancient archaeological site of "Tharros", and the stunning beaches of the "Sinis Peninsula", renowned for their white quartz sand and crystal-clear waters. Every September, Via Tharros becomes one of the most evocative points along the route of the historic "Corsa degli Scalzi" ("Race of the Barefoot Men"), one of Sardinia's most deeply rooted and meaningful religious traditions, celebrated by the local community for generations.
