Our parent company, Orienty Tour srl, was born from Istituto Nuove Vie della Seta, one of the first cultural exchange associations between China and Italy. The founder, Professor Gao Xu, is a distinguished Chinese scholar who taught at the Universities of Trieste and Udine, dedicated to promoting understanding between Chinese and European cultures. Many years ago, his students asked him, “Professor, how can we truly understand the Chinese language and China itself?” He answered with an ancient saying: “Read ten thousand books, travel ten thousand miles.” “Only when you set foot on the land of the East,” he said, “can you truly understand what you have read.” From this vision, Orienty Tour was born — a travel company dedicated to helping Europeans discover the real East. We organize cultural journeys to China, Vietnam, Japan, and beyond, encouraging travelers to explore, learn, and connect. Our philosophy also lives within our guesthouse, Orienty Home Pentacoro. Each room displays historic black-and-white photos from an exhibition organized by the Municipality of Trieste and the Chinese Cultural Center Istituto Nuove Vie della Seta, showing Italians in China more than 120 years ago — a true bridge through time. About 3 minutes to the Opicina tram, 5 minutes to the rail and coach stations, 8 minutes to Piazza Unità d’Italia and 10 minutes to the cruise terminals. IN’S supermarket is in the same building; cafés, restaurants and parking are nearby. 🏢 On the 5th floor of a 1971 building with a 4-person lift and winter central heating. All 5 themed rooms have a private bathroom: Dragone Giallo, Dragone Azzuro and Tartaruga e Serpente are en suite; Uccello Vermiglio and Tigre Bianca have dedicated bathrooms outside the room, never shared. 🛏 Five themed rooms: 🐉 Dragone Giallo - bright, quiet, morning sun, castle-hill view. 🐉 Dragone Azzuro - blue theme, near entrance, city view, Japanese bidet. 🐢 Tartaruga e Serpente - grey theme, full in-room bathroom. 🦚 Uccello Vermiglio - red theme, afternoon light, private 4-metre balcony, rooftop view, bathroom opposite the room. 🐯 Tigre Bianca - cosy quiet double room, bathroom about 5 metres away. ✨ All rooms have acoustic wall panels, air conditioning, central heating, digital TV with Amazon Prime and a safe. Bathrooms include massage showers, anti-fog Bluetooth mirrors, quiet hairdryers and adjustable lighting; some have walk-in glass showers. 🍽 Guests may use the open kitchen and dining area with filtered water, fridge, induction hobs, microwave, oven, dishwasher, washer, dryer, cookware, free coffee, Chinese leaf tea, a 6-seat table and a first-aid kit. 🌇 A shared balcony outside the kitchen overlooks the castle hill and is the outdoor smoking area. Indoors is fully non-smoking, with smoke and carbon-monoxide alarms. Blue-zone parking, the SABA underground car park, and free luggage or parcel storage are available. 🏡 Every detail is designed to make your stay easier, warmer and more memorable.
