The Holiday Home La Capannina di Matteo is located a few hundred meters from the ancient Roman road called Via Cassia, right outside the center of Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, halfway between Florence and Siena, in the heart of Chianti and surrounded by the famous hills that made Tuscany known all over the world. La Capannina di Matteo is made of 6 charming holiday apartments with private pool When choosing this accommodation, guests will enjoy a unique holiday in farmhouse in Tuscany, a few kilometers from the town center , yet surrounded by nature. Nested in a grass garden, where smell of lavender and roses combine in a unique fragrance, The Holiday House La Capannina di Matteo originated from the restoration of a typical Tuscan villa that was a farmhouse. There are 6 independent holiday accommodations at guests disposal, 4 in the hayloft and 2 located in the main Villa. Each accommodation is equipped with all comforts, kitchen, oven, dishwasher and washing machine, screens and Air Conditioning and ensure a unique view over the hills of Tuscany.

Our staff will be happy to recommend itineraries to follow, or book your Walking Tour of the city of Dante Alighieri, Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci. Siena is a place of great historic and artist interest barely 45 min from La Capannina di Matteo . Sites to see include the Cathedral and Piazza del Campo where the famous Palio horse race is run twice a year on July 2nd (Palio di Provenzano) and August 16th ( Palio dell’Assunta) . Badia a Passignano:This medieval abbey is just 10 min from La Capannina di Matteo and is definitely worth seeing, with its secret gardens and frescoes made by the Ghirlandaio, a local famous painter. San Gimignano is Just at 20 minutes drive from La Capannina di Matteo . It is famous for its medieval towers and the Vernaccia wine. Vernaccia di San Gimignano is one of the finest white wines anywhere, and is only made in a small area of Tuscany between Siena, Pisa and Florence. Monteriggioni a nice Medioeval town is situated only 30 minutes driving from us. Even though it is small, its beauty and position attract 70,000 visitors each year.
