We are Caterina and Lapo, thirty-something, avid travellers, lovers of everything beautiful and done with care. Pietrapiana is the name of our first adventure in our hometown, Florence. Here, we transformed what was once an old family building, into 12 apartments where you can spend some unforgettable time in our beloved town. In this area of Florence that is still resisting the whistle-stop tour approach, we’ve created a space that would offer the same traits we look for ourselves when travelling: modern, tasteful and connected to our tradition. Stepping into the Pietrapiana building you’re welcomed by a courtyard that we have designed as a quiet green oasis where you can rest, read or relax. We’ve worked with care and enthusiasm to turn this space into a welcoming place that you can enjoy.

Property info

Each apartment, comfortable and functional, has undergone a meticulous and passionate design research. We’ve adopted an ad hoc approach, collaborating with local artisans and craft masters, choosing natural fabrics and neutral tones. You’ll find old dressers and wardrobes we’ve hunted in antique and flea markets, or spotted in family attics and patiently brought back to life. Each detail and item you’ll find in Pietrapiana has been carefully designed, because we feel that’s what makes the difference.

Neighborhood info

We’re located in Sant’Ambrogio, a neighbourhood within Central Florence where the three of us grew up as kids. Here you can still live the true Florentine experience: the Sant’Ambrogio food market, the artisan workshops and small independent shops, Piazza De’ Ciompi and the beautiful Loggia del Pesce, modern restaurants and traditional trattorie serving old family recipes.
