With a hillside location, Podere La Strega features an outdoor pool and a dining terrace with panoramic views of the Tuscan countryside and Siena, 2.5 miles away. La Strega’s rooms are individually decorated in a traditional Tuscan style and have views out over the hills. Each has Wi-Fi access, air conditioning and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. This restored 18th-century farmhouse is just a 5 minute drive from Siena Train Station. The famous hilltop town of San Gimignano is 50 minutes away by car.

Podere La Strega boasts a very special position and offers unique views: we are situated on a hilltop right "in front of" Siena and following a country lane one can walk downhill to a busstop or even walk into the town centre (30 minutes). The furnishings are done with excellent taste and each room is decorated in typical warm colors. Outdoor, guests can use the nice swimming pool surrounded by a fenced lawn and find pleasant spots where to sit down with a glass of wine or a good book and enjoy the views and the relaxing atmosphere.
The property has been owned by my familiy for more than 80 years. I'm passionated about furnishings and interior decoration and love antique markets. I also like cooking, and even more preparing the table for my family, friends and guests, possibly in various ways and styles.
Immerged in the green countryside nor far from the Siena city centre, the area offers plenty of possibilities for pleasant walks, but also bicycle tours or even horse riding. This is one of the most interesting areas in the immediate surroundings of Siena, where one can discover old villas, farmhouses and country churches. At the edge of the famous Chianti hills, wineries can easily be reached for visits and tastings. Nearby also good restaurants and "trattorie".
