The Residenza Cornino Olive Farm in Tuscany in the Chianti Classico district dates back to the 17th century. At Residenza Cornino there are three holiday apartments in ground floor for rentals. Our apartment is on upper floor but summertime we are mostly away from the house. Each apartment is very spacious and equipped for self catering. The apartments have a combined kitchen/ living room, one to two bedrooms with air conditioning, bathroom and private patio. In the garden which is common to all guests there is a pool with sun-beds, an barbecue area and several patios and pergolas. Residenza Cornino is located on a hill in the countryside between Florence in the north and Siena in the south. 2021 the steep part of the road has been rebuilt with concrete for easier access. From the courtyard there are miles of views over wine fields and olive groves. Residenza Cornino is located in the heart of the Chianti Classico wine district with the black rooster, gallo nero, as a symbol. From Residenza Cornino we see San Gimignano and as far as to Casole di Elsa. The Via Francigena pilgrim-track is close by. To the south are Montalcino and Montepulciano and to the east Assisi and Arezzo.

Feel free to sit down on the terrace and face the sunset over the San Gimignano tower. It is also nice to bicycle and hike in the area. There is so much to see and experience in Toscana.

Residenza Cornino is located in the countryside surrounded by the wine fields and olive groves of Chianti Classico - the black rooster's wine district - Gallo Nero. Visit all the medieval villages in the district such as Castellina in Chianti, Radda in Chianti and Gaiolo in Chianti. Etruscan habitats have was located here in the 8th century. Findings from the Etruscan era can be found in the museum in Castellina in Chianti. Well worth a visit. Tuscany is known for culture, art, food and wine and everything is within easy reach of Residenza Cornino. You reach Siena with its famous "Il Campo" square by car only 30 minutes from Residenza Cornino and to Florence about 50 minutes drive. Dante's famous village Monteriggioni is only a 15-minute drive from Residenza Cornino. If you are interested in shopping there are leather goods, clothing outlets in Vallechiana about 60 minutes by car from Residenza Cornino.
