La Residenza del Corso is a newly renovated hotel in the historic heart of Matera, the city of Sassi, Unesco Heritage since 1993 and recently designated as European Capital of Culture 2019. The Residence is located in the homonymous Via del Corso, the old part of the city of Matera and it is the most important historic street. The main entrance overlooking Via del Corso where is the Church of Saint Lucia. Along Via del Corso during the celebrations of Mary S.S. Swiss Brown passes the triumphal car before it is destroyed as a tradition. The Chariot is admirable from the windows of the rooms that look out on Via del Corso. Single-level have been realized 6 independent rooms, of different types, equipped with every comfort and furnished with taste, care and attention to detail. All rooms are equipped with large bathroom, in a separate room, with a large window and a shower with the possibility of a steam bath.

In the historic center of Matera, located along the central Via del Corso, our "Residence Via del Corso" it is situated in a strategic area near the central square Piazza Vittorio Veneto. A few meters away are some openings that show the original level of the area, now called underground, which are located below the same square .. Here are the exceptional rock structures such as large tank called Palombaro Along with walls 15 meters and until recently navigable. "Residence Via del Corso" is on routes between different squares, along an axis named "Axis Settecentesco" as developed by the end of 1600 showing in his total splendor. a number of important buildings and churches that have had a particular importance in this century.   Piazza Vittorio Veneto is dominated by the huge Palazzo Annunziata, a former convent current headquarters of the Provincial Library. Opposite the façade there is the great palace of the Prefecture, the Church of San Domenico of the XIII century, the Church of the Knights of Malta. At the center of the square there are the tombs, large cisterns for collecting rainwater

Near Residenza del Corso there are the churches and palaces of the period of the late Naturalism and Baroque. Starting from Piazza Giovanni Pascoli, the ridge path to the eighteenth century from Via Ridola where you can admire the Palazzo Lanfranchi, the Church of Santa Chiara with the former convent of the Poor Clares, the Church of Purgatory. It will cross the Piazza San Francesco d'Assisi, where you can visit the homonymous church on its way in the ancient city of Matera Town Square called Plaza of the Seat. A walk along Via delle Beccherie and there in Via del Corso to arrive at the Central Square of the city, Piazza Vittorio Veneto.
