There is a large natural (rain) water swimming pond with waterslide, ropes and relax areas around the swimming pond and outdoor bonfire places for barbecue. My name is Thomas Liepsner and I am the host of Tirisondola and founder of the Tuscan Art Center, a ceramics museum located on the propertiy of Tirisondola and accessable for my guests. I am Egyptologist, archaeologist, and collector of remarkable artifacts. Originally from the United States, I studied in Germany, worked in Egypt and moved to Tuscany in the 80s. When I first purchased this estate in 1983 I was welcomed by rats, scorpions and a beautifully dilapidated farm ruin, which has since been transformed into Tirisondola, a vacation home with 3 apartments. There were no windows, doors, or roofs on the structures- let alone water, electricity or telephone lines to the property. Still, I was mesmerized, and knew immediately that this collapsed gem would one day be my home. I am a father of four and thirty years ago began my lifelong adventure on top of one of the most beautiful rolling hills of Tuscany.

Tirisondola and La Capanna is the perfect place to relax away from the big Tuscan cities and with possibilities and activities for your kids. Besided the ceramics museum and the workshop facilities you will find a lot of history and art on this hill, surrounded by the forest. In the beautiful town of Chiusdino you may find restaurants, cafes, bars, a bakery and a small grocery store. Nearby located is the historic abbey of San Galgano. Not too far are the Tuscan hotspots of Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra and Florence. If you want to inhale the sea breeze, you can easily reach the mediterranen sea.
