"I have never thought of hospitality as an industry, but rather as a way of inhabiting a place. I started out from a small town in Lazio, passed through Rome, and then Trieste held me back—not out of convenience, but because of its character. Here, everything is sharper, truer, more defined by the border. Simone and I brought together different paths and the same obsession: giving shape to spaces that are not static. 'Il Rifugio del Poeta' was born this way, out of a trajectory rather than a business idea. Today, the apartments we manage are not the end result, but the means. What matters is what happens between arrival and departure: people who don't know each other and a city that changes them without asking permission.
