This place was an inspiration to none other than Dante Alighieri, and was also the home of the family of Beatrice Portinari, the eternal love of the supreme poet. Today, Villa Dante is a testament to the past, recovered and carefully restored by Count Pier Francesco Rimbotti after World War II, remaining proudly in the hands of his family. The villa is a haven of privacy and tranquillity, surrounded by high stone walls with a remote-controlled gate, and offers spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The garden (5,000 square metres) is a true Italian-style masterpiece, adorned with majestic maritime pines, proudly standing cypresses, delicate hydrangeas and paths framed by lovingly tended hedges.
