Born in a small family farm, of 4 hectares, in the hills of San Gimignano, the farmhouse Villino del Grillo distinguishes itself for its tranquility. In 2000, the Pierantozzi's family decided to restore with forces a small barn of their property. After years of work and sacrifice, taking care of every detail, the small barn has become a cozy cottage and full of small details that bear witness to the love and the passion with which all members of the family participated in the work. So in 2004 was born the Villino del Grillo, unique compared to other structures from its category. A place that makes guests feel at ease, surrounded by a unique atmosphere, full of intimacy, a nest refuge where to find peace and tranquility, but also where you can participate in daily activities of a small farm, linked to ancient traditions. Consisting of a single apartment, with bedroom, living room and bathroom, equipped with every comfort, it is the ideal place to spend a holiday in absolute peace, deep in the countryside of San Gimignano, even in winter.

I was born here in San Gimignano, where my grandparents arrived in 1965, from the Marche region. I love this place, I love the countryside and nature. I work in the city but I spend the rest of my time in the country with my father and to cure the Villino del Grillo. The satisfaction of my guests is the best reward I can get in exchange for my sacrifices. I and my family are proud to have hosted in Villino del Grillo people from all over the world and it's always a great pleasure to share with them experiences and points of view.

Inserted in a landscape of the most beautiful parts of Tuscany, which is centered around the noble and the rustic hills of Chianti Colli Senesi and Vernaccia di San Gimignano, the Farmhouse Villino del Grillo has framed between the beautiful towers of San Gimignano and picturesque village medieval of Certaldo, birthplace of Giovanni Boccaccio. Surrounded by vineyards and olive groves and immersed in the scents and sounds of the countryside, Villino del Grillo offers peace and tranquility, away from the confusion and smog. Located in the center of Tuscany, from here you can easily reach the most famous art city: Florence (50 km), Siena (40 km), Volterra (40 km), Pisa (70 km), Pistoia (75 km), Montalcino (84 km), Montepulciano (100 km), the Chianti area (35 km).
