The Hideaway Suite is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment set at the back of The Archway, a small three-unit property in Florence Hall, Falmouth. Its position at the rear of the building makes it the quietest unit on the property, with a peekaboo view of the ocean. One bedroom has a king bed, the second has a twin. Both bedrooms are air conditioned. There are two full bathrooms, each with a walk-in shower — one serving the king bedroom and a second off the hallway. The open living area has comfortable seating for the group and a wall-mounted TV, and opens onto a dining table for four. The kitchen is fitted for cooking proper meals rather than reheating them. Bed linen and towels are provided. The Archway sits inside a gated community with security stationed at the entrance. On arrival, guests collect a named access card at the gatehouse and use it to come and go for the length of the stay. One parking space is included per reservation. The Luminous Lagoon is 0.4 miles away — one of a handful of bioluminescent bays in the world, and best experienced after dark. Historic Falmouth, the cruise pier, and the North Coast Highway toward Montego Bay and Ocho Rios are all a short drive. Check-in is from 4:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM. Earlier or later arrival can usually be arranged on request.

I'm Mario, and I built The Archway myself. I chose Falmouth for its history and for where the north coast is heading. I host with one aim: that the apartment works so well you barely need to think about me. Clear instructions before you arrive, everything in its place when you walk in, and a quick answer whenever you need one. English and Patois spoken.

Falmouth itself is one of the best-preserved Georgian towns in the Caribbean. The historic centre, the craft market, and the cruise pier are all a short drive, along with supermarkets and local restaurants for whatever you need during your stay. For a day out, Chukka runs ziplining, ATV, and river tubing nearby, and 876 Beach is worth the trip for a relaxed day by the water. Montego Bay and Sangster International Airport are roughly 30 to 40 minutes west by car. Ocho Rios and Dunn's River Falls are about an hour east. It makes Florence Hall a practical base for exploring the north coast in either direction without staying in the middle of the crowds.
