My name is Rakan and I come from a Bedouin family. I’ve lived in Wadi Rum desert my whole life. It’s a great area to do hiking/scrambling and rock climbing, which I love to do. My passion became my work when, ten years ago, I started organising tailor-made tours for travellers who want to explore Wadi Rum protected area. Meeting people from all over the world is what I find most rewarding about my job. Later on, I decided to set up my own camp in the desert to accomodate my clients.

Property info

Our camp site, situated in Wadi Rum Desert, 9 km from the village, is made up of 18 Bedouin tents. You will be surrounded with breathtaking sandstone mountains and red-orange sand. The wild beauty of the desert will allow you to rest and meditate. Our camp is also an ideal base for your desert adventure (hiking, climbing, sandboarding, camel riding, jeep tours…). I can also take you to a secluded cave house in the desert, where you will spend an unforgettable night, drinking tea and smoking shisha around the fire. We will be happy to organize your stay, whatever your needs. Each morning, You’ll be served a traditional breakfast, with bread, hummus, cheese, and olives. And for dinner, you will have a traditional Bedouin barbecue called Zarb. Meals are included in the price of the accommodation. We’ll do our best to make you stay unforgettable.

Wadi Rum desert is one of the world’s most beautiful desert and definitely the most colourful. The moonlike landscape made of sandstone rock formations and red-orange sand will leave you speechless. Our camp site is the most secluded camp in Wadi Rum. You will not be bothered by the numerous jeeps taking people to touristic spots. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy the silence of the desert. During your treks you will stumble upon ancient valleys with petroglyphs and inscriptions left by our ancestors to indicate the closest water spring. You can climb high dunes and mountains to enjoy the impressive desert views. At night you can enjoy the starry sky.
