Nosoko is a quiet village in the northern part of Ishigaki Island. We have Mountains and Wilderness on one side and then there is the beach, a three minutes walk away (360 m). Lots of pocket beaches. No tourists! You are almost alone on those kinds of private beaches. Great to snorkel, you will find all kinds of exotic fishes and corals and a million other things underwater. Or you can track through the woods and hike on mount Mape to enjoy an exceptional view of the other islands of the Yeayama island group. Wake up to the sound of wild birds in the tropics and take a break! Watch the myriad of starry things flowing through the Milky Way. (Ishigaki Island is known for the clear skies and so starry nights. How about such a quiet and relaxing vacation? Guests can spend their time on the 1st floor of a 2-story house (the 2nd floor is our residence), surrounded by greenery, there is a wooden terrace where you can have a BBQ, and a garden with a hammock. You can take a nap or read a book in it and feel the soft breeze from the ocean under a shadow spending canopy of tropical leaves. Kitchen, shower room and toilet are in a separate room. The Guesthouse is far away from the main road - no traffic noise, only sometimes an old tractor passed by. The terrace gives you although the possibility to make a BBQ (1500 yen a day). The kitchen-bathroom unit is separated from the actual living space. Be aware, because it is a place surrounded by rich nature, spiders, geckos, mosquitos, and ants may enter the room. You will have mosquito screens, protecting your room from those creatures. If you don't like to live near the jungle, you should better rent a hotel room in Ishigaki city.

About us: We are a married couple of Shizuka (Japanese) and André (German). We live in Ishigaki for more than 17 years now. We have two restaurants in the village, and then there is the beach...that's it. Some other restaurants around, but u will need a car to get there. Shopping is the best downtown, you will find several supermarkets and tons of lil shops with all kinds of stuff. Also endless restaurants and bars. Or you can make trips via ferry boats to the other islands, we will help you by finding interesting tours. Also, we know where to dive and what are the best dive shops...Ishigaki has some very interesting dive sites, e.g. a manta cleaning station. Anyway, we know the islands very well and can help to find the right adventures for you.
