Naie Town is located roughly halfway between Sapporo and Asahikawa, with Japan's longest straight road (National Route 12) running north to south through the center of the town. JR lines also run through the town, making it easily accessible from both Sapporo and Asahikawa, about an hour by train (about an hour and a half by car). The town is working to develop itself as a music town, and there is a small music hall in front of the station.
