Hello! I am Yuri, the host of Casa YuriMomo. After living in Italy for many years, a few years ago, I moved with my family to Date, Hokkaido, known for its mild climate. This house was previously a large residence for six families, which we have remodeled. It has a very warm atmosphere and is spacious and welcoming. As hosts, my husband Cristiano, who is Italian, and I live on the second floor. Our home is perfect for those who enjoy a cozy, family-like atmosphere. I, Yuri, have been teaching cooking in Italy for many years. Utilizing that experience, I can prepare delicious meals (reservation required) for you. Whether it’s lunch or dinner (at an additional cost), you can enjoy homemade dishes made with fresh and delicious ingredients from Date. In addition, I offer cooking lessons (approximately two hours) where I teach not only authentic Italian cuisine but also popular dishes like ramen and gyoza in a way that is easy to understand, even for foreigners. When you come to Casa YuriMomo, we can also pick you up by car from Date Monbetsu Station. Please feel free to contact us. The area around Date Monbetsu offers many wonderful sights and activities, such as Lake Toya, Mount Usu, the Usuzan beach with its shallow and clear water, the Cape Chikyu in Muroran, the geysers at Noboribetsu Onsen, and the ski resorts at Rusutsu. In addition, you can participate in indigo dyeing workshops, which are a specialty of Date, and for those who want to enjoy the wild nature, we can introduce you to experts in that field. In this way, Casa YuriMomo will guide you on how to enjoy nature and culture centered in Date. This house is located in a quiet residential area. It is about a 2-minute drive from the Date Interchange and about a 7-minute drive from Date Monbetsu Station. If you contact us in advance, we can also pick you up from the station by car. Just a 2-minute walk behind the house, there is a shop called "Antim Tim," which offers stylish and thoughtful accessories and miscellaneous goods. Additionally, there are supermarkets "Arcs" and "Coop Sapporo," which are about a 10-minute walk or a 3-minute drive from the house. The center of Date Monbetsu town is about a 15-minute walk away, where you can find a variety of places including ramen shops, conveyor belt sushi restaurants, izakayas, and even a McDonald's.
