Tsuyukusa-an is a two-story vacation house. This traditional yet modern house will offer you a full immersion into the Japanese culture and Kyoto's lifestyle. On the first floor: an entrance hall with a small garden, a dining room, a kitchen, a living room, a bathroom, a separate toilet and a Japanese garden. On the second floor: a bedroom, a powder room and separate toilet. Kitchen: household appliances (IH stove, fridge, microwave), cookware and tableware. Living room (Japanese-style room): flat-screen TV. Bathroom: towels, amenities (shampoo, conditioner, body soap, toothbrush, cotton, cotton swab, razor,...), hair dryer. Bedroom: 2 single beds (over 2 people: futons beds will be prepared in the Japanese room) Garden: can be lit up at night, visible from living room and bathroom. Other: free Wi-Fi, coffee and tea. A matcha tea set is at your disposal, so please enjoy doing your own tea ceremony at home. 【Waste Disposal】 Daily trash is collected free. Items not accepted as regular waste in Kyoto (e.g., suitcases, appliances, cookware, knives) can be processed as “special waste” at 2,000 JPY per item. ※ Hazardous items (aerosols, batteries, chemicals) and oversized or bulk items may not be accepted or may require a quotation. ※ Knives must be securely wrapped. Improperly packaged items may be refused. 【About Inquiry Hours】 Please note that chat support is unavailable between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. If you need assistance during these hours, please refer to the information booklet provided in your room. 【No Smoking Policy】 Our property is entirely non-smoking. If smoking is detected inside the room, a special cleaning fee of 30,000 JPY will be charged.

Tsuyukusa-an is located in a peaceful and quiet residential area at a few minutes' walk from the Imperial Palace and Shijo and Sanjo busy streets. It's ideal location will offer you an easy access to Kyoto's main attractions and a calm and relaxing atmosphere to relax after a busy day of sightseeing. Marutamachi subway station and several bus lines are within a 5 minutes' walk, providing an easy access to famous sightseeing spots in Kyoto such as Gion and Higashiyama District, Ginkakuji Temple and Kinkakuji Temple. Several supermarkets, convenient stores and restaurants stand in the surroundings.
