Property info

The old house of Amami Oshima was completely renovated with natural materials such as clay walls, hinoki and paulownia wood floors, hinoki baths, and old wood. The main house is a private lodging facility for everyone visiting Amami to stay in a relaxing space. The rooms are plant-dyed, hand-woven yarn and cloth, and guests can stay in the gentle air blowing through the garden. * There is no TV, clock, or calendar. The nearby Akagina Coast is a sandy and shallow beach with a beautiful sunset view. In addition, activities such as dyeing and weaving, and local guides are available (reservation required). There is a dyeing and weaving studio on the premises, but it is not used during guest stays. Guests can use the property and grounds for guest use only.

Neighborhood info

The facility is located about 10 minutes by car from the airport, in the northern center "Akagina". Akagi is a convenient place for daily life, with supermarkets, restaurants, hospitals, banks, post offices, etc. Due to limited transportation, rental cars are essential to travel to northern tourist attractions such as Cape Ayamaru, Kasarisaki and Basha Mountain.
