After graduating from Tokyo University of Agriculture and working in the field of education for a year, I found myself captivated by the majestic mountains and serene landscapes of Nagano. This deep connection to nature inspired me to leave the bustle of the city behind and embrace a new challenge.
Through connections made during a local internship, I gained the courage to take this leap. Together with a trusted partner, I launched a project focused on the revitalization of vacant traditional houses (Akiya).
This journey has only just begun, and through daily trial and error, we are dedicated to crafting spaces that go beyond simple lodging. Our goal is to provide a true sanctuary where people can feel at peace. By blending my knowledge of architecture and interior design with the unique characteristics and needs of the local community, I strive to create environments that are both comfortable and soul-stirring.
In my free time, I am honing my skills in photography and baking, aiming to share the beauty of Japan’s hidden gems with the world.

Matsumoto, Chujo — A Journey to Self-Reflection via "porta"
Tucked away in the quiet backstreets of Matsumoto’s Chujo district, "porta" is a private villa designed to shed daily noise and sharpen your senses. It blends the "emptiness" of a traditional Japanese house with Belgian and Scandinavian minimalism, subtly elevating your perspective.
■ Concept: The Luxury of "Density"
"porta" is an intentional 1LDK designed to prioritize the density of the experience over mere square footage. Fusing Japanese structural beauty with European monastic tranquility, the contrast between raw textures and smooth white plaster creates a rhythmic serenity. Soft greige tones release you from everyday constraints, allowing you to unravel in a timeless flow.
■ Stay Style: Intimate Private Moments
We recommend up to 4 guests for a spacious experience (max 5). It is a private sanctuary for sharing intimate conversations. The moment you close the "porta," the outside world vanishes, and your quiet story begins.
■ Kitchen & Dining: Functional Beauty
A wooden dining table and a functional counter kitchen form the heart of your stay. The open layout, equipped with a microwave and refrigerator, allows for fluid conversation. A mini dresser provides a quiet nook for writing or morning preparations. This minimal space, stripped of visual noise, is the ultimate retreat.
■ Bath & Laundry: Refining Body and Mind
The wet areas feature clean, high-quality grey textures. With a deep soaking tub and a separate vanity, you can refresh at your own pace. A washing machine and clothes dryer are provided for worry-free long-term stays.
■ Winter Comfort: Warmth in the Cold
To counter Matsumoto's winter chill, we provide electric blankets to ensure a restful, cozy sleep in the quiet of the night.
