Since 2014, VisFactory Co., Ltd. has been operating private vacation rental properties in Shimane Prefecture. We currently manage six entire-home accommodations, and also run cruise services as well as marine activity programs such as SUP and surfing. By discovering and making use of Shimane’s natural landscapes and local cultural resources, we create stays and experiences that allow guests to fully enjoy the unique character of the region.

“KAITAN Kumozu” is a private rental house set in the tucked-away fishing village of Kumozu in Mihonoseki. Across the road, a small fishing harbor and the sea lie just in front, with the scenery gently shifting through the day and with the tides. Kumozu is a quiet settlement with little foot traffic, where the calm harbor landscape is part of everyday life. It’s simple and unpretentious—well suited for those who want to spend time by the sea at a slower pace. The house also serves as a base for activities such as fishing or walks along the shore, allowing you to experience the surroundings as they are.
