Kiyomizu Machiya Inn is a traditional merchant townhouse located in the highly sought after neighbourhood of Gion Ninenzaka, considered the oldest in Japan.
Akemi has been welcoming guests for over 15 years. Having a passion for these traditional machiya townhouses, she was one of the very first to offer them to tourists.
Voted the No.1 neighbourhood for tourists to stay, located in the highly sought after area of Gion Ninenzaka. Numerous restaurants, local transportation and 3 Unesco World Heritage sites. Super convenient for site seeing as you can walk everywhere and not rely on public transportation.
