We renovated this authentic traditional house and opened as a guest house in 2019. We would like this place to be a base to introduce the appeals of Tokoname and Chita area.

This guest house used to be a traditional Japanese-style house from the late Edo period. This area has been known for its ceramic production. Old kilns are around this guest house. The location is 5 min walk to Tokoname station (two stops from the airport). A convenience store is few steps away, and, within walking distance, there are supermarket, pharmacy, laundry, etc. Good access to a duty-free shopping mall and a public spa & bath by train or bus. Easy to access to Nagoya(40 min), Kyoto(1.5h) and Osaka(2h).

Tokoname is a pottery(ceramics) town that is one of Japan's six ancient kilns. There remain some old potteries, and the surrounding area is being maintained as a pottery footpath, such as the Climbing Kiln, pottery shops, grocery stores, and cafes. You can take a leisurely walk around our guest house. There are discount supermarket, bakery, and some shops around Tokoname station. A 24h open convenience store is just along the main street of our place. Local farmer's market, Duty-free pharmacy, coin laundry are nearby. The next station, Linku-Tokoname is a perfect place for shopping. It takes about 20min by foot, and you can spend 1 day there. There is a huge shopping mall including duty free shops, cinema, kids athletic, circuit, and so on. There is a large onsen which has 12 different kind of bath. Relaxation floor has more than 14000 manga books. The amusement park of cod roe food factory give you many samples to taste. You can try this Japanese popular food and consider as one of your souvenir list! Rinku beach is in front of these shopping area. In summer, you can swim or have BBQ. Airplane flies so close and sunset there is very beautiful!
