We are Nuu / Takedamise, a small villa with a community space, located on a small island in the Seto Inland Sea. This building was once home to a traditional candy shop called Takedamise. Children gathered here, and it was always filled with smiles. Now over 100 years old, we felt a deep desire to carry this place into the future. In the unadorned rhythms of island life, and in harmony with the surrounding natural beauty, we invite you to return to your most natural self— and spend such a time here. — A century-old traditional house, quietly standing on a beautiful island in the Seto Inland Sea, has been transformed into a private villa limited to one group per day. Grand opening in April 2026. Surrounded by a tranquil sea and rich natural environment, this is a place where you can directly experience both the landscape and the everyday lives of the people who live within it.

After studying architecture, I became an editor and now live on Yuge Island. I also spent time living in New Zealand when I was younger. I love traveling myself. To everyone who has taken an interest in Yuge Island, I hope to make your stay here truly special.
