Only a 7-minute walk from Akakura Ski Resort, Hotel Taiko features indoor and outdoor public hot spring baths, massages and a sauna. Japanese-style rooms offer majestic mountain views, and free Wi-Fi is provided at the lobby. Ski equipment rentals are available. Air conditioned rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) flooring, an en suite bathroom and a flat-screen TV. An electric kettle, a refrigerator and a safety deposit box can also be located. At Taiko Hotel, guests can enjoy Mt. Myoko views from the outdoor hot spring baths, get a relaxing massage or purchase souvenirs at the gift shop. Drinks vending machines, lockers and barbecue facilities can be found on site as well. Ski lift tickets are sold at a discount. You will find a ski and snowboard rental shop 'MARUCHU Rental Ski' on site, offering Burton, Volkl and Ride equipment. A traditional Kaiseki-style meal featuring local, seasonal produce is served for dinner, while a buffet of western and Japanese dishes is available for breakfast. Imori Pond and Myokokogen Train Station can be accessed within a quick 10-minute drive. Naena Falls is a 25-minute drive away, and Sasagamine is within a 40-minute drive from Taiko Hotel. The property can also be reached using a public bus departing from JR Myoko Kogen Station.
