I have roots here on Kakeromajima, and through these connections, I began this private rental retreat, Villa Toutoganashi. “Toutoganashi” is a beautiful word from Amami that expresses deep respect and gratitude. Literally written as “尊々加那志”, it carries the spirit of placing someone above yourself—honoring them and caring for them with sincerity. It is with this heartfelt Amami spirit that I chose the name for this villa. Here, you can experience a unique island time— a chance to unwind and let your heart be embraced by nature.
