【About this Accommodation】 For those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and spend time surrounded by tranquility and nature. This place is a carefully renovated 150-year-old samurai residence, offered as a whole-house rental with only one booking per day. You can enjoy a relaxing stay in spaces surrounded by antique furniture and a veranda overlooking the garden. The interior, a mix of Japanese and Western styles with traces of the Meiji era, gives a special atmosphere as if you were traveling through time. The garden viewed from inside changes its look with the seasons, allowing you to feel nature's transitions, from summer water lilies to autumn leaves. In winter, you can be wrapped in the warmth of a wood stove. With meal plans, we provide "healthy home-cooked meals" using home-grown, pesticide-free vegetables, homemade koji, and seasonal wild herbs. The warm dishes made from local ingredients are very popular with our guests. As for activities, you can also enjoy traditional Japanese cultural experiences like straw crafts, bamboo crafts, soba making, and incense ceremony. We offer a memorable stay filled with history, nature, and interaction with the hosts.
[About the Host] In 2022, we moved from the city with our family and spent two years restoring this samurai residence with our own hands. We grow vegetables and rice, make koji, chop firewood, and live with the blessings of each season. Life here reminds us of the traditional richness of Japan. We would be happy to share our life in this house with people from all over the world. Please enjoy a trip where you can truly feel the real richness of Japan.
