The Guest House is on the edge of the Maasai Mara National Reserve, between the Olare Motorogi and Naboisho Conservancies, with no nightly park or conservancy fees. Wildlife such as zebra, giraffe, buffalo, and wildebeest often walk past the house, offering an immersive nature experience. Flying In: Closest airstrips are Olare Orok (30 minutes) or Ol Kiombo (40 minutes, with park fee). Guides can meet you with a picnic. Driving In: From Nairobi, the drive is roughly 5½ hours, depending on traffic and weather. Activities Summary: • Game Drives: Explore the Main Maasai Mara Reserve via Zebra Plains gate (15-minute drive), with picnic, snacks, and drinks. Conservancy drives not available. • Hot Air Ballooning: Launch from Talek (20-minute drive), pre-booking recommended. • The Maa Trust: Learn about local conservation and community programmes, watch beadwork, and purchase handcrafted items. • CERK: Tour the savannah nursery with 42 indigenous tree species; tree-planting can be arranged with pre-booking.
