Very, very special indeed! The Cardamom Mountains provide essential ecosystem services upon which people depend, namely water. The monsoon rains fall heaviest on the Cardamom Mountain's plateau – the source of several nationally significant rivers – making this the primary watershed for one-third of Cambodia. The tours to nearby waterfalls, fishing villages and neighboring communities are conducted by guides and boatmen who have lived in these villages for most of their lives. The boats for these tours are prepared anticipating your every possible need and the guides conduct these tours with the joy and warmth of one who is taking friends around one’s own community.
