Maadest is a collection of eclectic rooms located on Koh Pich Island in Phnom Penh, set along the river. Each space is designed as a distinctive stay, shaped by its environment and the surrounding green urban landscape. The collection includes variations of the Jungloo (Jungle Igloo), with Park Jungloo positioned within the vegetation. It has its own private plunge pool and a shaded deck. It uses some recycled materials, bamboo and locally sourced fabrics. It applies innovative bioclimatic solutions to naturally reduce heat, allowing to save 50% on air-conditioning. Additional spaces are developed within repurposed structures, including a repurposed water tower with elevated views over Phnom Penh’s Four Rivers, the Mekong, Koh Norea bridge and the surrounding park. This former metal structure has been redesigned as a triplex suite, with the tank becoming a rooftop plunge pool.

Locations are carefully selected, with spaces that feel natural and grounded, and a design approach that remains simple, lively and thoughtful.

Koh Pich Island is Phnom Penh’s neighbourhood offering the most balance between urban energy and open spatial surroundings with wide streets, river edges, and low-density planning. It provides a distinct sense of movement within the city. AEON Mall is within walking distance at approximately 1.3 km, while the Royal Palace and riverside area are about 2.5 km away. A bridge nearby connects directly to Koh Norea, opening access to a quieter side of the river. The immediate surroundings include a large swimming pool at DIB Club, as well as nearby lounge and bar venues such as Floatation, Aquation Theatre and the Aquation Green Office Park.
