Gingerland is a pleasant, well-equipped community offering everything you need close by, including a Police Station, Health Centre, Secondary School, and Best Buy Supermarket (which also serves hot lunches daily). There's a petrol station right next to Best Buy, plus a couple of local food and drink spots: 869 Bar, offering fast food like burgers, chips, pizza, and chicken, and Big Six Bar, just a few doors down from the Police Station, serving food and drinks. Buses into town run fairly frequently - every 15-20 minutes during weekdays, every 20-30 mins on Saturdays and maybe hourly on Sundays. The area has a safe, friendly feel throughout.
