400 meters away from Mapo-Gu Office Station Line 6, the property is located in a quiet local neighborhood of Mangwon Dong. The neighborhood is filled with cafes, bars, and restaurants just door steps away without the chaos of a “big city” feel while being close to Hongdae, a party district. Mangwon has a very relaxed local vibe. It is home to many artists, musicians, comedians, and celebrities. It is common to see famous artists just strolling around the neighborhood. Mangwon is a truly local Korean neighborhood. The demographics of the area is mix of elders and families with children. There are many good restaurants and two traditional Korean markets: Mangwon Market and World Cup Market. In the market, you will find everything from clothing, fresh meat/fish, to Korean street food, and small “mom and pop shops.” Being near 3 big parks, it is really easy to access nature during your stay. The closest is the Hongjae Stream that leads to Mangwon Han River Park. This is between exit 5 and 8 of Mapo-gu Office Station about a 5 minute walk.The overpass stream park Hongjae Stream leads to the Han River and Mangwon Han River public pool where locals like to relax in the afternoon by the river. You can grab some beer and chicken (another local favorite) near the entrance of the river park and enjoy them by the river. World Cup Park and Hanul Park are also a stroll away. (30 minute walk)
