Property info

The Aathma Colombo House is a family home transformed into an eclectic boutique hotel with 5 rooms & suites, tropical garden and a 20m swimming pool. The House rests on a private peninsula by the banks of the historic Diyawanna Lake in Colombo’s thriving municipal capital, and the 1000m2 property is a stone’s throw from the Beddagana bird sanctuary. We have carefully designed the architecture and furniture. Each piece is created by local artists and tradesman; fusing antique heirlooms with modern techniques. The cartwheels and mandalas are a recurrent theme around the house and pay homage to our Equestrian Nobleman ancestors in pre-colonial South India.

We are located on the banks of the Diyawanna Lake, where you can take a short stroll to reach the popular pedalo jetty. From there you can reach the Water’s Edge lake view point which is perfect for an evening walk with its lively market and selection of bars and restaurants. Just 3km away is the Royal Colombo Golf Course. 5km away is the famous Gangaramaya Temple & the Colombo National Museum. The lively Beverly Street shopping mall / cafe is located at the entrance to Diyawanna Residencies.
