Location & Setting Bloomingdale Bungalows is situated in Seetha Eliya, a part of Nuwara Eliya in the hill country of Sri Lanka. This area is elevated, with cool climate, misty mornings, and refreshing mountain air. It’s very different from the lowlands — cooler, greener, more serene. The bungalow is just a short drive from the centre of Nuwara Eliya. It’s accessible via the Badulla Road, passing landmarks like Lake Gregory and through Seetha Eliya junction. Views & Natural Surroundings You’ll be surrounded by verdant tea gardens, rolling hills, and lush vegetation. The views are often shrouded in mist or framed by clouds, which gives a dreamy, tranquil vibe. There are botanical gardens nearby (e.g. Hakgala Botanical Garden) which add to the greenery and are easy places to explore. Natural waterways, waterfalls, viewpoints and other ‘escapes into nature’ are relatively easy to reach. Atmosphere & Ambience The neighbourhood is peaceful and relaxing; a place to unwind rather than be in hustle and bustle. There’s a kind of colonial / “Little England” aesthetic to many parts of Nuwara Eliya — older buildings, gardens, cooler climate — which contributes to a quaint, nostalgic feel. At night, the area is quiet; with the altitude, temperatures drop and awareness of nature (sounds, darkness, wind) is stronger. Convenience & Amenities The bungalow itself offers amenities such as: free Wi-Fi, parking, a fully equipped kitchen, options for BBQ, and some pet-friendly policies. For daily needs (groceries, shops, cafés), you’ll likely need to travel a little toward the town centre. It’s not right in the busiest part of town.
