The project of 'The Jungle House' started out in 2011. Building this place in the jungle from scratch has been an adventure, but being myself an architect gave me the passion needed to complete the property in few years. You're more than welcome to stay at our place if you are looking for quiet and nature in the crowded Arugam Bay. Hope you'll find my home relaxing and inspiring as much as I do.
Arugam Bay in Sri Lanka is regarded to be an oasis of peace and tranquillity. A small village, with a population of a few hundred located on the Indian Ocean, in the dry zone of Sri Lanka's south east cost. Home to many famed points break that many regard as the bests surf spots in the country. ​ But if you're not a surfer Arugam Bay also makes a great base for several adventures in the surrounding hinterland. You can go on a lagoon tour, or on a safari in the two national park nearby Kumana and Yala, or opt to visit archeological sites and temple immersed in the jungle.
