On the same grounds, you’ll find the well-known Lanka Learning Center—a place for education, reconciliation, and peace. Together with S.T.E.P.S. of Forgiveness e.V. and the People Helping People Foundation, we provide long-term support for children and communities. My name is Francis, and I was born in Trincomalee, Sri Lanka. My childhood was shaped by the civil war, and I also survived the tsunami. After these difficult times, a German family gave me the opportunity to come to Germany and pursue my studies. I studied psychology and have since worked with children and young people, both in Germany and in Sri Lanka. Even during my studies, I began building a support project for young people who needed help and hope. Since 2010, we have been able to assist several thousand children. The Shalom Echo Villa grew out of this journey as a self-help project, which I built together with friends and family. The income flows directly into educational and aid initiatives, creating sustainable opportunities locally. By booking a stay, you become part of this story.
