Our home is located in a historic area, just 300 meters from the Gates of Dawn, where the Vilnius Madonna is kept — a unique miraculous icon of the Mother of God without the child, the only one in Lithuania (a similar one exists only in Paris). The Madonna is believed to have protected the city, healed illnesses, and helped in difficult times. Evidence of her miraculous power can be seen in the gold and silver votive offerings left by pilgrims, still preserved in the chapel walls and basement. To this day, pilgrims from around the world visit this sacred site, and many guests notice the special atmosphere of calm, peace, and the magic of the Old Town.
