MB Stella Vita is a family-run business based in Ukmergė, with roots going back to 1992. Today, we personally manage a small portfolio of guest accommodation, allowing us to stay closely involved in every property rather than operating like a large anonymous management company. Gedimino 7 puts you in central Ukmergė, Heart of the Old Town, market, museum, cafés and the main historic walking routes. For coffee, try Coffee Spot on Žuvų Street; for a casual meal, Fokus Pizza is further along Gedimino Street. The Ukmergė Market on Klaipėdos Street is best visited in the morning for produce and everyday local life. For sightseeing, start at Kęstutis Square and Ukmergė Regional Museum, then walk through Castle Park to Ukmergė Hillfort. The hillfort stands by the meeting of the Šventoji River and Vilkmergėlė stream; a serpentine path leads to the top for views across town. Continue to the Old Fire Tower, Lituania Restituta monument, Holy Trinity Church and the Šventoji riverside promenade. Ukmergė has substantial Jewish heritage. On Vienuolyno Street’s Art Alley look for the Haiku Bench, Pippi Longstocking sculpture, “Cube” and “Books Bring People Together.” Find Dog Keksas, part of the interactive The Town Speaks to You route, and follow the Singing Pigeons — more than 30 pigeon sculptures around Ukmergė, with QR codes at the artworks playing Lithuanian songs.
