HANDMADE Latgola is not only an accommodation place, but also a special home for handcrafted household items, giving everyone an opportunity to see more than 250 contemporary Latgale handicraft values. The place opened its doors in December 2019 (in the south-eastern part of Latvia, in the town of Livani - the “gate” to Latgale region). Here you will be able to enjoy a rest in an exclusive accommodation, and in addition get acquainted with modern high-quality Latgale handicrafts in a natural home environment. At HANDMADE Latgola, you will enjoy Latgalian hospitality, and at the same time you will see an untraditional craft and cultural tourism object, a lively exposition of Latgale craft values, a cozy meeting and conversation place. All handicrafts are not only visible in the natural home environment - living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, hallway (whether it be a glass plate, clay mug, wooden meat board, linen towel, bed linen, glass wall clock, vase, wall decors or floral soap) - but will be able to purchase them as gifts and souvenirs. We will be glad to welcome you to our Special Home of handicrafts and senses in Livani.

HANDMADE Latgola is created in a building originally built in 1936, which was completely renovated, rebuilt in 2019 and preserves the heritage, sincerity and strength of five generations. This is a private place cherished by our family (mainly the mother Emerita and the daughter Marika), which we are happy to open up to people from Latvia and abroad. We love new acquaintances, meaningful conversations and special moments that form shared memories. If you wish, we will open not only the accommodation for you, but we will be happy to sip tea with you by the fire in the evening and talk about life. If you remember that feeling when you visit family members, relatives or good friends you have not met for a long time - it will be THAT FEELING when you visit us for the second time.

Additional possibilities near HANDMADE Latgola: observe the sunset over the river Dubna (100 m from the accommodation), go by canoe or bicycle (for additional cost), walk our nature trail. We will help you plan an excursion route around the city of Livani (including a Glass Blowing Workshop, 6 special benches – environmental objects, 5 churches of different denominations, Daugava ferry, etc.). In the winter season, you can enjoy Livani city swimming pool "Upe" (with 2 different saunas) 300 m away from our accommodation, in the summer season you can enjoy 24 hours of fresh air sleeping in tents (in the private area next to HANDMADE Latgola).
