The story of the holiday home "Mazais Līvkalns" began when our children went out into the big world. As we discussed that the house had become emptier and the "little house" was no longer needed by anyone, we decided that we could welcome guests here! Thus, "Mazais Līvkalns" was born. A small, cozy holiday home and studio, located almost in the center of Sigulda and close to the city's most beautiful walking spots. After a while, in addition to the holiday home, we also set up a comfortable and spacious studio apartment. We are big animal lovers, so guests are greeted by friendly dogs, and sometimes our cats make an appearance as well. Of course, we respect if our guests do not wish to interact with the dogs. Please note that enjoying the sauna is available for an additional fee only when booking the Holiday Home, as the Studio does not have this option.
On a daily basis, the hosts work in Riga and at a nearby farm in Mālpils, where they run their strawberry farm ("Augusta zemenes"). In addition, a year ago, they established the only Horse-Assisted Learning and Therapy Center in Latvia at their horse stable ("Augusta stallis"). It is possible to book a tour as well as individual sessions there.
"Mazais Līvkalns" is located a 10-minute walk from the center of Sigulda. At the same time, our holiday home is practically "within arm's reach" of the city's main attractions. You can take a walk to greet the Sigulda Castle, then explore the nearby walking trails and head towards the Gauja River. A great and refreshing walk! The main thing is that everything is nearby. Next to the house is a bike path that goes through and past all the main attractions in Sigulda. It’s never boring in Sigulda if you are ready to enjoy, delight, and listen to nature!
