Most people come to Merzouga and stay in big, luxury camps that are actually located right on the edge of the desert. We wanted to do something different. We offer a mobile dromedary camp that takes you deep into the heart of the Erg Chebbi dunes for a true, rugged adventure. Our setup is simple and authentic. We use traditional Berber carpets, warm blankets, and lanterns to create a cozy atmosphere under the stars. The real "amenity" here is the location—you are surrounded by nothing but sand and silence. It’s the perfect place to disconnect from the modern world and experience the desert exactly as the nomads have for centuries. We focus on the small things that make you feel welcome: a warm fire, the smell of fresh tea, and the best view of the sunrise you’ll ever see.

Living in the Erg Chebbi dunes is a dream. Our guests usually tell us that the best part of the "neighborhood" is the peace—it’s one of the few places left where you can experience total quiet. If you want to explore, there’s plenty to do nearby. You can visit the village of Khamlia to hear the soulful Gnawa music, or head into Merzouga town to try "Berber Pizza" at a local spot. But honestly, most of our guests find that the best "attraction" is just sitting on top of a high dune on the back of a dromedary, watching the sun dip below the horizon. The stars out here are also incredible; since there’s no light pollution, the sky looks like it's glowing.
