Newly opened in 2016, Riad Chérifa has 4 suites and 8 rooms available. All are fully equipped with a high attention to detail. The Riad is located in a quiet side street of Hassan Al Awal, at one of the main intersections of the old Medina, which connects Bab Souk and Bab Onsar. The name of the Riad is a tribute to a famous woman, Saida Horra, who played a major part in the history of Chefchaouen.

Riad Cherifa, the entrance to a magical experience in Chefchaouen. The Riad combines two traditional Chefchaouen houses and has retained its original Andalusian-Moroccan architecture. The tradition atmosphere of the Riad preserves and maintains its cultural heritage, while seamlessly combined with modern luxuries.

Suspendue à la montagne aux deux cornes (Jebel Ech Chaouen), à 600 m d’altitude, Chefchaouen la secrète offre un panorama époustouflant sur la vallée du Laou. Surnommée « la ville sainte » pour ses nombreux édifices religieux, la médina de Chefchaouen est sans conteste la plus jolie du Rif. Dans une atmosphère paisible, la ville bleue offre les charmes simples d’une cité d’artisans. Fondée au XVème siècle, Chefchaouen était un des bastions du sultan dans sa résistance aux Portugais. Pour se protéger des attaques répétées de ses voisins occidentaux, elle a longtemps été interdite aux chrétiens, mais pas aux juifs.
