Ayhan Eskikalcı was born on 1972, in Turkey. He holds a degree from the Ege University State Turkish Music Conservatory and pursued postgraduate studies in Musicology at Dokuz Eylül University. With over 25 years of experience in music education, he serves as a music teacher and acts as the choir conductor for the Bayraklı Municipality Turkish Folk Music Choir, as well as an active lead bağlama performer. In addition to his musical career, he works as an international tour guide leading cultural itineraries across Europe, specializing in art history, historic architecture, and regional heritage.

Gabela Street is recognized as one of the oldest preserved thoroughfares in the Bay of Kotor and the broader region. Its origins trace back to the 12th century, with sections developed further during the Ottoman period and subsequent Venetian rule. Etymology & Trade: The name Gabela derives from the Italian word gabella (meaning "tax" or "customs duty"). Historically, it served as the vital commercial axis connecting the port of Risan to the inland trade routes heading toward the Montenegrin hinterland. Historical Strategic Axis: Rising from the central town square near the coast and extending inland toward the hills, it functioned as both an economic arterial road and a defensive urban corridor.
