The "La Pirogue" hotel is located in the greenest and most welcoming region of Madagascar, the land of vanilla. It is situated 1 kilometer from Sambava Airport and 300 meters from a vast, fine sandy beach. The hotel is a small haven of greenery. It has 8 bungalows and two thatched huts. Each bungalow is equipped with a bathroom with toilet, a double bed, and a desk.
The current management took over the establishment in 2025 and undertook a complete renovation. The current work includes the construction of a reception/bar/restaurant area, a swimming pool, a pétanque court, satellite Wi-Fi, and solar panels. The staff is available 24/7. If you wish, the hotel staff will prepare your breakfasts, meals, and drinks.
Guests appreciate the peaceful neighborhood and the beach, perfect for swimming or fishing. Boat trips on nearby lakes and visits to the Vanilla Museum are also available. It's the starting point for a visit to Marojejy Park, home to lemurs.
