My name is Gaya. I have been running a small ger guesthouse in Kharkhorin, Central Mongolia since 2003. With the help of my mother Chantsa and daughters Ganju (16) and Nomioko (12), we operate throughout the year, trying to offer a home away from home for travelers passing through Kharkhorin. We look forward to welcoming you to Mongolia!

We offer reliable, comfortable, and reasonably-priced accommodations, as well as organize tours around Mongolia. We make sure that our guests get the trip they want, whether it’s riding horses through Mongolia’s stunning mountains, exploring the ancient ice caves, and sand dunes of the Gobi, milking animals, making felt with a nomadic family, or just relaxing by the Orkhon River under the stars. Mongolia is a beautiful, unique, and fascinating place, and we are so excited at the opportunity to show you our home. We are located very close to some several of the town’s main points of interest: Erdene-Zuu Temple (15 minutes by walk) Kharkhorin Museum( 10 minutes by walk), and just next to the guesthouse, up a hill, lies one of the Stone Turtles from the ancient capital. This hill also provides a great view of the town today and the surrounding mountains and steppe. From there you can enjoy the view, watch the sunset, and imagine what Ogodei Khan’s capital city must have looked like so many years ago.

Neighborhood info

Kharkhorin has been the center of history and nature in Central Mongolia for centuries. Due to this fact, this whole area has been appointed as a UNESCO World Heritage "Orkhon Valley Cultural Landscape" since 2004. You have plenty of choices for things to go and do here - we hope to help you enjoy discovering it!
