The apartment is located in Lija, in an up-market villa-area in the centre of Malta. It is under our villa and enjoys its own separate entrance and complete privacy, with common facilities. The swimming pool is huge (much larger than most places!), always in the sun, and also has a jacuzzi. please note that Booking calls the jacuzzi a "hot-tub". It is a small pool with jets, but not hot water. It overflows into the pool, for a waterfall effect, and comforting sound. Pool is kept chlorinated and clean all year round. In rainy season/winter, some furnishings are removed for protection, but pool is always usable. The quaint village of Lija is a great place to base yourselves, in the middle of Malta, so all places are within easy reach. Being in a quiet residential neighbourhood, free street parking is not an issue. A/C is extra. Just one apartment is for rent, so you will be the only esteemed guests. Apartment is completely private, with private entrance too. The common areas are shared with my family only - but we hardly use outside, so you will mostly have the outside areas for yourselves. It is at semi-basement level, and as shown in the photos, level with a large back patio and citrus garden. Living/Dining have plenty of light through a large glass door as second window. Both bedrooms have windows with one even has 2 windows, whilst the other has a south facing window too!! We specialize in families, and can provide cot, high-chair, stroller etc, and have various toys kids can enjoy (plus the space!). We accept youths, but not for 'partying' as we are a quiet residential area and the place is ideal for quiet relaxing. Being a residential area, we are highly noise-sensitive. Lija is very central and although Malta is small, traffic is a problem in many busy areas. So central makes sense! Near our house is a roundabout where the main roads from the north, east and south all meet together, so we are excellently located if you hire a car.

We can help you visit Malta's attractions and provide important information etc. and are quickly available should you need any help. The neighbourhood is a charming villa area and is tranquill and crime-free. Street Parking is available joutside the house. Should you prefer to travel around by public transport, we are just 200m from "the centre of Malta", where all main buses pass on their 'trunk-routes', and thus saves you much travel time - although renting a car is much more efficient and cost-effective if more than a couple. Lija is one of Malta's oldest and most upmarket villages, famous for houses with large gardens with citrus trees. Both the President's palace and Prime Minister's official residence (also a palatial building), as well as the US, German and Spanish Ambassador's residences are close by. Our villa is situated in the 'new part' of Lija, in a villa area. It is highly residential although there are a few local bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk.
