Il Hnejja is a newly refurbished 3 bedroom farmhouse in the quite and charming village of Mqabba only 2 km away from Malta's international airport. The property boast many traditional features that a farmhouse has to offer such as wooden beams, high ceilings and stone walls. The property is split on 2 levels. The ground floor consist of a kitchen/living/dining, which leads to the pool area. One will also find a double bedroom and a common bathroom with a shower. Upon entrance to the farmhouse, one will find a large internal courtyard which consists of a BBQ area with table and chairs that can accommodate 8 people easily. A large Gas BBQ equipped with a sink and a small fridge in the outdoor pool area where one can cook and also relax by the pool on the sun loungers. The 1st floor consist of 2 double bedrooms both having their own ensuite bathrooms. The main bedroom has a balcony that overlooks the pool and bbq area. Outside both bedrooms, there is a patio area with a table and 2 chairs where one can enjoy their morning coffee. On the 2nd level is the roof area which overlooks neighboring buildings and fields.

I have been renting and hosting clients for many years now. I was born and raised in Mqabba and I am very active in the local community. I enjoy meeting and hosting people from different countries.

Mqabba is a quite village with many residents going back many generations and retains most of the original Maltese buildings and architecture. It has historic landmarks in the village which include chapels dedicated to the Lady of Sorrows, Saint Basil, Saint Michael and Saint Catherine. Mqabba also has Tal-Mintna catacombs which were discovered in the 1860. One can find all the basic needs within walking distance from the farmhouse such as local convenience shops, bakeries, village bars, wine bars, traditional band clubs & pharmacies. Mqabba is very well know for the village feast which takes place every year between the 13th and the15th of August to commemorate our lady of assumption, more commonly known as Santa Marija where a spectacular show of fireworks and musical pyrotechnics is performed attracting Maltese residents from all over the island as well as many tourists.
